The CSIR UGC NET Alert December 2024: The Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination announcement for December 2024 has been formally released by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). This test, administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA), establishes a candidate's eligibility for Ph.D. admissions in Indian colleges, universities, and research and development facilities, as well as for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor jobs.

Maximum Age:
1. JRF: As of February 2025, the maximum age is 30 years (with a 5-year relaxation for applicants who are OBC-NCL, SC/ST, PwD, third gender, and women).2. Assistant Professor: There is no maximum age.
3. Admission to Ph.D: No upper age limit.
Qualifications for Education:
👉General/Unreserved/General-EWS: A minimum of 55% in a Master's degree or its equivalent from an accredited university.
👉OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PWD/Third Gender: Minimum of 50%.
👉 Provisional Candidates: Students seeking a master's degree or awaiting results have a deadline of:
# two years (to qualify as a JRF or assistant professor).
# One year (just for Ph.D. eligibility).
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) stipend:
# Stipend every month: ₹37,000 during the initial two years.# Contingency Grant every year: ₹20,000.
