Educational Requirements: The selection process and educational requirements will follow Government Office Memorandum No. AHE.239/2021/68, dated 24/01/2022, with NET/SLET/SET serving as a required eligibility requirement. Applicants who have earned a Ph.D. in line with the 2009 UGC (minimum standards and procedures for granting of Ph.D. Degree) regulation are exempt from the NET/SLET/SET minimum eligibility requirements. A minimum of 55% (or an equivalent grade point scale) in the relevant topic must be earned by the candidates at the master's degree level. For the position of Botany, candidates having an M.Sc. in Biotechnology are not required to apply. For the purposes of eligibility, a 5% mark relaxation may be granted to graduates and master's level students who belong to the SC, ST, or differently abled categories. The applicant's qualifications as of the final day of putting in applications. M.Phil., Ph.D., seminar papers, publications, and other eligibility can be obtained and submitted on the day of the interview and no later.

Educational Requirement: A minimum of three months of computer operation diploma or certificate from an accredited university and a graduate degree in arts, science, or commerce. The candidate should be able to type in both English and Assamese in Microsoft Word and Simple Excel.

Age Limit: According to Government Guidelines No. ΑΒP.6/2016/51 dated 02.09.2020, candidates must be at least 38 years old as of January 1, 2024, with a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates, 10 years for PWD candidates, and 2 years for ex-servicemen.
PRC: Candidates must speak the local languages and possess a Permanent Residential Certificate. In-service candidates must apply via the appropriate channel using a NOC that has been issued by the relevant authorities.
